Montessori schools around the country are struggling with the tension of implementing state-adopted literacy curriculum within our Montessori environments. Amplify CKLA has been adopted by many states as an approved curriculum. While the content in the curriculum is essential, it is not presented in alignment with Montessori philosophy.

We have developed tools and resources to support Montessori teachers in implementing the content in Amplify CKLA through Montessori pedagogy.

Yes! The Toolkit includes a comprehensive scope and sequence and printable Montessori shelf work for ALL phonics skills. You will need to print the decodable texts and some workbook pages from the Core Knowledge website, which can be accessed for free.
More and more states are passing legislation requiring public schools to adopt a literacy curriculum from a state-approved list. Because of how the curriculum is designed, Amplify CKLA can integrate with Montessori while maintaining all the benefits of Science of Reading instruction AND Montessori. Montessori Collective's Early Literacy Toolkit provides all of the resources needed to integrate CKLA with Montessori.
